Nya Zeeland – Hemliga tips från Auckland

Fick just ett mejl från Aucklands turistbyrå (Nya Zeeland) och de ville bara tipsa om några ”hemliga ställen” (som numera kanske inte är så hemliga…):

Nikau Caves
Located in the beautiful Waikaretu Valley in Franklin District, only 90 minutes drive from central Auckland. The caves are home to thousands of glow worms and fascinating stalactites and stalagmites.

Kaitoke Hot Springs – Great Barrier Island
One of the island’s unique features is the Kaitoke Hot Springs. Follow a scenic track through rich native forest and find pools surrounded by beautiful native bush. These natural springs occur due to thermal activity and provide a constant source of pure hot water.

Motuihe Island
Motuihe Island in Auckalnd’s Waitemata Harbour is renowned for its sandy beaches and clear waters. But did you know that the island also has a tree planting programme? Take part in helping restore the island by participating in the Restoration Project’s tree planting activities.
