The Travel Fair in Stockholm will be back on Saturday October 4th 2008. Truly a perfect time, when everybody is a little tired of the rainy and dark Swedish autumn. The travel fair will - as usual - have free entrance and a broad spectrum of visitors.
The venue is at Parken Conference, on Södermalm in central Stockholm.
Address: Rosenlundsgatan 34-36
Due to that the previous venue (Street Market) have become bankrupt, we had to do a "last minute" change of venue for the Travel Fair to Parken Conference.
The Travel Fair have been held in Stockholm twice (October 2006 and September 2007). It have been a big success with a "broad spectrum" of visitor’s (around 7.000): from young travellers, to families and up to seniors. Last year 52 exhibitors participated and among these were ten countries: India, Dominica, Canada, Nigeria, South Africa, Honduras, El Salvador, Germany, Nicaragua and Guatemala. The venue has short walking distance to the underground (tunnelbana), suburban train (pendeltåg) and buses. Blue bus number 4 and bus number 74 passes by on Rosenlundsgatan (see stops on the map marked with B). The stop for the suburban train is “Södra Station” and from there around 200 meters to walk. When arriving by underground, there are a couple of options. Either you get off at “Zinkensdamm” or “Mariatorget”. It is also possible to walk from “Medborgarplatsen”, takes approximately ten to twelve minutes.
The travel fair is organised by one of Sweden’s biggest travels sites (www.jordenrunt.nu). The site have around 2.200 daily visitors.
